The study involves understanding the movement of a heterogeneously motile collective of sperm cells in the presence of fluid flow, chemo- and thermo- gradients, obstacles and debris, complex geometries. etc. The JRF is expected to develop a microfluidic setup that mimics the flow and geometric conditions of a female reproductive system, to better test the motility of sperm cells. Basic understanding of MATLAB/Lab View is desirable. The JRF is also expected carry out experiments with the fabricated droplet microfluidic system, prepare technical documents, manuscripts and reports.
