Job Description

Aumnatic Systems is an Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) startup that specializes in transport, medical devices, and toys. The company has made significant strides in developing and deploying hardware devices for transport ticketing, establishing partnerships with leading companies in the medical devices sector, and becoming the first Indian firm to produce electronics for the toy industry. Working closely with major toy manufacturers in India, Aumnatic Systems emphasizes innovation and quality in engineering design. We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Android AOSP Embedded Engineer to join our team. As an Android AOSP Embedded Engineer at Aumnatic Systems, your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining Android-based embedded systems. You will collaborate closely with both the hardware and software teams to deliver cutting-edge and high-quality products. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain Android system software and frameworks. - Customize and optimize the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for specific hardware platforms, including Rockchip and NXP iMX series. - Integrate and debug Android system components and drivers. - Work in conjunction with hardware engineers to launch new hardware platforms. - Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging of embedded software. - Focus on performance tuning and optimization of the Android system. - Implement and uphold security features within the Android platform. - Keep abreast of the latest Android developments and technologies. - Contribute to enhancing development processes and practices continuously. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Demonstrated experience in Android system development and AOSP. - Proficiency in C/C++, Java, and Android framework internals. - Familiarity with hardware interfaces and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART. - Experience in kernel development and device drivers. - Proficient in utilizing version control systems like Git. - Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in Android security and encryption. - Knowledge of build systems like Make, CMake. - Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Proficiency in hardware debugging tools such as JTAG and oscilloscopes. - Contributions to open source projects, particularly those related to Android.,
