About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate SDE 2 - Mobile (Android) professional to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing and scaling Flipkart's flagship Android retail application, which has achieved significant milestones such as being the first eCommerce app in India to reach 100 million downloads with an impressive user rating of 4.5. Your primary focus will be on building a sustainable, scalable, and high-performance app platform that delivers a seamless and intuitive user experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize components and features that cater to our diverse and fragmented Android ecosystem. Your expertise will help us maintain our competitive edge by ensuring the app remains ultra-light, highly performant, and user-friendly, even under resource constraints.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a B.E or B.Tech degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields, with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in mobile application development. Proficiency in Kotlin and experience working with native Android as well as React Native frameworks are essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of Android architecture components, core Android technologies, and recent Android updates. Strong problem-solving skills, performance optimization capabilities, and the ability to resolve complex technical issues are critical. Experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members is highly desirable. Knowledge of building resource-efficient applications tailored for limited-resource hardware will be considered a significant advantage.
