Description
As an Analyst, RC AI and Analytics at HSBC, your role will involve supporting the Regulatory Conduct AI & Analytics in the Trade Surveillance domain. Your responsibilities will include: - Validating and analyzing Market Monitoring models through advanced analytical skills and emerging technology. - Developing proactive and pragmatic solutions to continually improve processes, approaches, and solutions existing within the processes. - Utilizing a combination of applied mathematics, statistics, advanced computing (machine learning, artificial intelligence), visualization, and data engineering using leading-edge technologies. - Working with large, complex data sets to generate insights and visualize those insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. - Writing code for the application of advanced analytics in regulatory compliance and critically interpreting and analyzing the results produced. - Creating and delivering analytical solutions that are fully documented and explained to meet business aims/requirements. - Updating existing models through regular monitoring and validation of results. - Demonstrating meticulous documentation skills to generate model validation and monitoring reports. In this role, you will have an impact on the business/function by: - Reporting RC AI & Analytics scorecard and key performance indicators in a timely and accurate manner. - Promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making and aligning short-term decisions with longer-term vision and objectives. - Helping the business manage regulatory risk more effectively through the adoption of data science (AI/ML and advanced analytics). - Supporting communication and engagement with stakeholders and partners to increase understanding and adoption of data science products and services. - Collaborating with other analytics teams across the bank to share insights and best practices. - Building positive momentum for change across the organization. Your typical targets and measures will include: - IMR/Audit/Assurance Findings - Efficiency and effectiveness of products & services - Project delivery and timelines - Response to risks, issues, and findings - Innovation & technology adoption In this role, you will be required to have: - A university degree in technology, data analytics, or a related discipline, or relevant work experience in computer or Data Science. - Understanding of Regulatory Compliance, risks, and direct experience of deploying controls and analytics to manage those risks. - Experience in Financial Services (experience within a tier one bank) or related industry. - Knowledge of the HSBC Group structure, its business and personnel, and HSBC's corporate culture. In terms of technical knowledge, you should have: - Fair understanding of applied mathematics, statistics, data science principles, and advanced computing. - Strong technical skills in analytical languages such as Python. - Medium-level understanding of data & architecture concepts including cloud, ETL, Ontology, Data Modelling. - Experience using GIT, PowerPoint, and Advanced Excel.
