Role Overview: As the job holder for the Operations role at Standard Chartered, your primary responsibility will be to monitor all activities of the Internal Services Unit, specifically focusing on regulatory submissions and maintaining checks and controls to ensure compliance. Your role will involve ensuring end-to-end processing of assigned activities/products within agreed SLAs and TATs, as well as identifying and implementing best practices to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure error-free processing of financial transactions and cheque clearing operations - Maintain zero pendency in record/documents archival as per specified timelines - Implement goals and vision in the unit to align with overall ITO/country plans - Maintain service level agreement metrics on turnaround time and accuracy - Drive process improvements through automation, STP, and digitization - Lead a team of Operations Officers, including recruiting, motivating, and coaching employees - Adhere to risk management practices to ensure compliance with policies and procedures - Comply with regulatory and business conduct standards, including displaying exemplary conduct and adhering to the Group's Values and Code of Conduct - Propagate, plan, and execute changes to improve operations and meet financial KPIs - Utilize advanced Excel and Word skills, along with banking knowledge, to perform job duties effectively Qualifications Required: - Education: Graduate - Training: Proficiency in MS Office - Skills: Advanced Excel and Word proficiency, English language skills, banking knowledge About Standard Chartered: Standard Chartered is an international bank focused on making a positive impact for its clients, communities, and employees.
