Analyst Associate, Merchandising Strategy

As an Analyst Associate in Merchandising Strategy at Giant Eagle, your role involves creating and maintaining planograms to support business initiatives and meet deadlines. You will analyze retail and market level data to develop planogram schematics using Space planning software platform. Your responsibilities also include owning projects with planogram execution as a key activity, utilizing multiple reports in decision-making, assisting team members, and building a deep understanding of Space Planning processes. You will attend regular meetings with the team, run SQL queries as needed, and answer questions regarding planograms from the reset teams in the Merchandising Functions. Key Responsibilities: - Create and maintain planograms to support business initiatives and meet deadlines - Analyze retail and market level data to develop planogram schematics using Space planning software platform - Own projects with planogram execution as a key activity and work towards deadlines - Utilize multiple reports in decision-making process and maintain routine project specific reports - Assist U.S.-based and India-based team members as necessary - Build a deep understanding of Space Planning processes - Run SQL queries as needed - Attend regular meetings with the team and additional meetings with cross-functional teams - Learn and utilize different systems, primarily Space Planning software Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree in Business fields of study - 1+ years of experience in a Micro space planning role - Strong verbal communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint - SQL Developer knowledge is a plus - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and projects In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, it's important to note the strong retail knowledge and business understanding required for this role.
