Job Description

As a Semiconductor Layout Design Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, you will be responsible for custom mixed-signal layout design in the semiconductor industry. Your role will involve delivering custom analog layouts independently, from schematic to layout generation, while estimating area, optimizing floorplan, routing, and completing verification flows. You will have firsthand experience in critical analog layout design blocks such as Temperature sensor, Serdes, PLL, ADC, DAC, LDO, Bandgap, Ref Generators, Charge Pump, Current Mirrors, Comparator, Differential Amplifier, among others. Your expertise in LVS/DRC debugging skills and other verifications for lower technology nodes like 14nm FinFet and below will be crucial. You should also possess a good understanding of concepts like Matching, EM, ESD, Latch-Up, Shielding, Parasitic, and short channel effects. Familiarity with EDA tools such as Cadence VLE/VXL, PVS, Assura, and Calibre DRC/LVS is necessary. Your ability to comprehend design constraints and implement high-quality layouts, along with excellent communication skills, will be essential for timely and high-quality execution of layout designs. Multiple tape-out support experience and collaboration with cross-functional teams will be advantageous. Additionally, multiple foundries experience is a plus. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop critical analog, mixed-signal, custom digital blocks, and provide full chip-level integration support - Perform layout verification including LVS/DRC/Antenna, EM, quality checks, and documentation - Ensure on-time delivery of block-level/top-level layouts with acceptable quality - Demonstrate leadership skills in planning, area/time estimation, scheduling, delegation, and execution to meet project milestones - Guide junior team members in sub block-level layouts execution and review their work - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and resolve technical escalations effectively - Troubleshoot client queries in a professional manner and offer alternative solutions where appropriate - Contribute to effective project management and maintain superior customer service levels - Effectively communicate with engineering teams in different geographical locations to ensure project success At Capgemini, a global business and technology transformation partner, you will have the opportunity to accelerate the dual transition to a digital and sustainable world while creating tangible impact for enterprises and society.
