AM - Direct Tax & International & Domestic - Tax Regulatory Services

As an Assistant Manager in the Direct Tax team, your main responsibility will be managing work related to all aspects of direct taxes, including international tax matters. You will be assisting the Manager, Senior Manager, and Partner on domestic and international tax engagements. Your tasks will include drafting submissions, appeals, and representing clients before tax authorities to present cases and liaise with them. In addition, you will advise clients on relevant tax provisions and amendments, prepare income tax returns, and ensure statutory reporting compliance. Effective communication with client managements is crucial, as well as conducting research on tax theory, positions, and precedents to address specific client needs. You will also be responsible for preparing deliverables based on research findings, undertaking direct tax due diligence reviews, and maintaining up-to-date records of internal documents and submissions. Staying informed about new tax developments and ensuring compliance with local regulations will be essential parts of your role. Moreover, you will be expected to create training presentations on recent tax and regulatory updates, support knowledge sharing initiatives, and possess strong technical knowledge in Direct Tax and International Tax. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required, and a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Direct taxation is preferred for this role.,
