AM - Direct Tax & International & Domestic - Tax Regulatory Services

As an Assistant Manager in the Tax & Regulatory Services team at our company, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of direct taxes, including international tax. Your role will involve assisting and supporting the Manager, Senior Manager, and Partner on various domestic and international tax engagements and initiatives. You will also be responsible for drafting submissions, appeals, and other necessary documents to be filed with the tax authorities. Key Responsibilities: - Represent clients before tax authorities to liaise and present cases effectively. - Advise clients on relevant tax provisions and amendments. - Prepare income tax returns, conduct tax audits, and handle statutory reporting. - Maintain effective communication with client managements. - Conduct research on tax theory, positions, and precedents to analyze their applicability to specific client needs. - Prepare deliverables based on research findings in the required format. - Perform direct tax due diligence reviews and prepare diligence reports. - Keep internal documents, working papers, submissions, and supporting documents up to date. - Stay updated on new tax developments and ensure compliance with local rules and regulations. - Prepare training presentations on recent tax and regulatory developments. Qualifications Required: - Chartered Accountant / LLB. - Strong technical knowledge and expertise in Direct Tax and International Tax. - Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. - Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Direct taxation.
