Alternative Operations Fund Accounting-Senior Associate

Role Overview: You will be responsible for daily cash and position reconciliation between fund and broker, hedge fund reconciliation activities, reconciliation of dividend and market valuation, reviewing and validating deliverables within specified SLAs, creating process flows, and driving process excellence initiatives for the team. You will also be expected to manage client expectations, troubleshoot process issues, provide strong customer service, and focus on operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Perform daily cash and position reconciliation between fund and broker - Conduct hedge fund reconciliation activities for cash, cost, position, and long-term & short-term gain/loss realization - Reconcile dividend and market valuation of the portfolio during month-ends for GNAV calculation - Review and validate deliverables within specified SLAs - Create process flows for sub-processes to build a repository for future trainings - Utilize strong Excel and MIS reporting skills - Be willing to work in shifts - Troubleshoot process issues with strong subject matter expertise - Drive process excellence initiatives - Manage client expectations and take a proactive approach - Lead and manage a team in day-to-day production of various reconciliation types Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience using Bloomberg Terminal for corporate actions information and bond coupon accrual verification - Domain expertise in reconciliation processes, especially market value reconciliation - Exposure to portfolio accounting and general ledger systems - Sound knowledge of matching processes and ability to suggest improvements - Comprehensive understanding of research and resolution on reconciliation breaks - Ability to identify and report process risks in the reconciliation process - Exposure to various trading instruments such as equities, options, bonds, futures, spots, forwards, bank debts, CDS, and CFD swaps - Lean/Six Sigma certification will be a plus - Understanding of risk excellence measures, robotics, and BPM - Strong people skills to lead and manage a team effectively - Ability to handle bigger spans, adhere to strict timelines, and deliver quality results - Good interpersonal, communication, and people management skills Education & Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting or MBA Finance - NISM/NSE certifications - CISI certifications - MOOC certifications (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.),
