AL Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable full-stack applications and services, focusing on integrating AI/Generative AI capabilities
• . Implement and manage the data pipelines and infrastructure necessary to support AI model training, evaluation, and inference.
• Develop and maintain Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to deliver accurate and contextually relevant information to users
• . Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliverables. Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code primarily in Python while contributing to other parts of our technology stack.
• Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and full-stack technologies.
• Champion best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Work independently on 0-1 projects, taking initiative and driving them to completion

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
• Solid knowledge of common integration patterns for Generative AI models and services.
• Experience implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Experience designing and building evaluation pipelines for AI models or features.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with relevant AI/ML libraries and frameworks.
• Experience working with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on new and ambiguous projects (0-1).

Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with specific Generative AI models and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
• Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools
