Air Vent Kinematics Design Engineer

As a Kinematics Design Engineer specializing in automotive air vent systems, you will be responsible for: - Leading the mechanical design and kinematics development of automotive air vents including rotary, toggle, ball-type, and shutter systems. - Creating and validating kinematic concepts for louvers, vanes, and control mechanisms. - Performing 3D modeling and mechanism simulation using CATIA V5/V6, specifically the DMU Kinematics module. - Ensuring airflow functionality, tactile quality, and smooth actuation of mechanisms. - Conducting packaging studies in coordination with IP and HVAC teams. - Collaborating with Styling, HVAC, CAE, Tooling, and Supplier Quality teams. - Defining and executing DFMEA, DVP, and tolerance stack-up analysis. - Interfacing with suppliers for manufacturing feasibility and design optimization. Qualifications required for this role include: - Expertise in CATIA V5/V6, particularly in Part Design, Assembly Design, Surface Design, and DMU Kinematics. - In-depth understanding of plastic and soft-touch materials, sliders, hinges, and dampers.
