Air Sample Analyst

As an Air Sample Analyst, your role involves following the laboratory's Quality Policy, Objectives, and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. You will be responsible for conducting ambient air quality monitoring according to CPCB, BIS, and ISO guidelines for parameters such as PM, PM, SO, NO, CO, and O. Additionally, you will assist in stack emission and noise level monitoring activities as directed by senior analysts or the Technical Manager. Your key responsibilities and authorities include: - Learning and operating air monitoring instruments such as High Volume Samplers, Respirable Dust Samplers, Stack Monitoring Kits, and Gas Analysers under supervision. - Assisting in the preparation and standardization of filters, reagents, and sampling media used for air quality testing. - Ensuring proper sampling procedures, flow rate calibration, and filter handling methods as per approved SOPs. - Recording field data accurately in logbooks or digital forms, including sampling time, location, environmental conditions, and flow rates. - Properly labeling, storing, and transporting collected samples to the laboratory to prevent contamination or damage. - Maintaining documentation and chain of custody for all handled samples. - Assisting in data entry, calculation, and report preparation related to air and environmental monitoring activities. - Supporting senior staff in maintaining calibration records, equipment logs, and monitoring data for audit and compliance. - Participating in the preparation of daily and monthly air quality monitoring summaries and reports. - Implementing corrective or preventive actions (CAPA) as guided by the Technical Manager. - Performing routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and safe handling of laboratory and field instruments. - Coordinating with team members during site visits and laboratory work to ensure timely completion of sampling and analysis. Qualifications required for this role include: - M.Sc. in Chemistry/Food Science/Biotechnology or a related field. - Basic knowledge of laboratory instruments and techniques. - Good observation and documentation skills. - Willingness to learn and work in a team. - Attention to detail and safety procedures.
