Job Description

This job involves taking the lead in providing more complex application development services, typically as part of a project team or in an application support role. As a Developer, your responsibilities will include analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing systematic solutions to meet customer requirements while adhering to IT standards and policies. You will provide general support to maintain more complex applications that meet service levels, system availability, performance, and quality levels required by customers. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to mentor less experienced team members. Essential Responsibilities: - Analyze, design, code, test, and implement more complex application enhancements with minimal defects - Participate in the full system development life cycle per current SDLC standards - Collaborate with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand business requirements and provide innovative solutions to complex business needs - Provide technical support, including release implementations, on-call, and 24/7 support when necessary - Work in compliance with IT standards, policies, and procedures - Actively participate on project teams in various roles such as Developer, Technical Lead, or Project Manager based on experience level - Effectively communicate with team members, customers, partners, and management, including conducting technical walkthroughs and reporting project status Required Qualifications: - 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in PEGA - Good knowledge of integration concepts and case management - Experience in V8.x Preferred Qualifications: - Good communication skills - Ability to lead a small team as a module lead - Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodology - Experience with Java-based applications - Knowledge of the US Healthcare system Key Skills: - Problem-solving, root cause analysis, and issue resolution - Demonstrated leadership skills - Experience in the Healthcare or Health Insurance Industry About Virtusa: Virtusa values teamwork, quality of life, and professional and personal development.
