AI/ML Developer Roles and Responsibilities

1. AI Agent & Automation Development

• Design, build, and deploy AI-driven agents and automation systems for internal operations and client use cases.
  
• Integrate AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, etc.) into applications or workflows.
  
• Develop autonomous or semi-autonomous agents capable of decision-making, data retrieval, and process execution.
  

2. Machine Learning Model Development

• Collect, preprocess, and analyze datasets for model training and evaluation.
  
• Build, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning models (classification, regression, NLP, computer vision, etc.).
  
• Optimize models for accuracy, latency, and scalability.
  

3. API & System Integration

• Work with APIs (REST, WebSocket, etc.) to integrate AI models with existing systems or third-party tools.
  
• Develop backend logic for AI-powered features (e.g., chatbots, predictive analytics, recommendation engines).
  

4. Data Engineering & Pipeline Management

• Create data pipelines for training and inference workflows.
  
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization.
  
• Automate repetitive ML tasks using orchestration tools or Python scripts.
  

5. Research & Experimentation

• Explore and evaluate new AI frameworks, LLMs, and vector databases (like LangChain, Pinecone, or FAISS).
  
• Conduct experiments to improve model performance or reduce inference costs.
  
• Stay updated with the latest trends in generative AI and MLOps.
  

6. Deployment & Monitoring

• Deploy models to production using cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, or local servers).
  
• Monitor model performance and retrain when necessary.
  
• Implement logging, monitoring, and continuous improvement practices.
  

7. Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver AI-powered features.
  
• Document model architecture, code, and implementation details for scalability.
  
• Communicate progress and results to non-technical stakeholders.
