About the Role: Based in Navi Mumbai, this is a strategic individual contributor role which assists esteemed regulatory body. As our AI/ML Cybersecurity Auditor, you will be at the forefront of defining and enforcing robust security practices for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications across India's regulated banking and financial institutions. You'll work closely with a Senior Manager at ReBIT and a regulator, bringing your deep technical acumen and strategic foresight to bear on some of the most complex and critical security challenges of our time. This position is about foresight, continuous learning, and ensuring the integrity and resilience of our nation's financial digital future. What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities): Your mandate will be to ensure that the AI/ML deployments within our regulated entities are not just innovative, but inherently secure and compliant. This includes: Setting the Benchmark for AI/ML Security: Leading and executing in-depth cybersecurity audits of AI/ML systems and their entire lifecycle – from data ingestion and model training to deployment and continuous monitoring. You will be assessing adherence to leading global standards like ISO 41000 and NIST AI Guidelines, ensuring best-in-class security controls are implemented. Proactive Risk Intelligence: Continuously studying, identifying, and assessing the full spectrum of evolving AI/ML security challenges. This includes critically analyzing risks related to data poisoning, model evasion/adversarial attacks, ensuring model explainability (XAI), identifying and mitigating algorithmic bias, safeguarding data privacy, and addressing issues like model drift and degradation. Your insights will directly inform our regulatory posture. Driving Compliance and Best Practice: Evaluating the effectiveness of existing security frameworks and controls, providing expert recommendations for enhancements, and ensuring full compliance with current and emerging regulatory guidelines specific to AI/ML in financial services. Strategic Reporting & Influence: Articulating complex technical findings into clear, actionable audit reports for senior stakeholders within both regulated entities and our organization. Your insights will drive impactful change across the financial sector. Thought Leadership: Operating as a subject matter expert, staying ahead of the curve on AI/ML advancements, threats, and mitigation strategies, and contributing to the continuous refinement of our audit methodologies. Who We're Looking For (Qualifications and Experience): B.Tech or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a closely related field. We are seeking a technically astute professional with over 6 years of experience in IT audit, cybersecurity or risk management, coupled with a solid foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts. Hands-on experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, or risk management, with a proven track record of leading significant AI/ML security assessments and influencing regulatory compliance at a high level is required. A strong understanding of AI/ML principles, lifecycle and common algorithms is nonnegotiable. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO 27001, RBI CSF) is expected, and specific, practical knowledge of ISO 42001 and NIST AI Risk Management Frameworks is highly advantageous. Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, or specialized AI/ML security certifications will significantly strengthen your candidacy.
