AGM/DGM QC

Role & responsibilities

1. Provide inputs for Quality Control department budget & ensure adherence to the same

2. Experience of working in NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) accredited lab in a fertilizer plant

3. Work with other internal departments i.e. Production etc. to develop and implement quality control procedures and processes for all existing & new products

4. Ensure analysis of raw materials and finished products as per FCO (Fertilizer Control Order) and other relevant regulatory requirements

5. To manage the NABL accredited lab in fertilizer plant

6. Provide inputs for developing new product standards/specifications, production SOPs, sampling protocols & quality processes to ensure focus on quality and continuous process improvement

7. Manage, plan and direct the laboratories to ensure highest quality analytical support for manufacturing while ensuring compliance with set protocols and regulations

8. Liaise with the Production department to understand the periodic production schedule and QC requirements; plan the work for the department accordingly

9. Liaise with the other internal departments (Production, Maintenance, Procurement, Stores etc.) to ensure that Quality Control team is provided with samples on time for testing

10. Ensure timely execution of quality testing processes for finished product & raw material in compliance with the set processes

11. Monitor the testing for raw material, in-process and finished goods and ensure that all QC protocols are complied with and issues escalated to the production department, where required

12. Publish required quality control MIS & reports for review as per finalized schedule

13. Oversee maintenance and archiving of comprehensive documents of inspection containing the details of the time, samples, test procedures and results etc.

14. Share reports with the government authorities on fertilizer quality tests as and when required

15. Establish and document the procedures for calibration of the test equipment and validation of processes

16. To comply with safety environment and ESG norms

17. Conduct formal performance assessment of self and subordinates

Preferred candidate profile

Masters in Chemistry or higher with 15 to 20 years of relevant experience
