Roles and Responsibilities :- Aftertreatment Integration Support: Provide integration support throughout the product development cycle, including pre-product planning, Value Package Introduction (VPI), and Value Package Change (VPC). Calibration Development: Develop and deliver ATI calibration per program requirements, including: Controller tuning for aftertreatment components such as DOC, DPF, and SCR. Aftertreatment system diagnostics tuning. Catalyst health management strategy and tuning. Stakeholder Collaboration: Obtain input and negotiate with stakeholders, providing recommendations that support project decisions, feasibility studies, and design optimization. Process Improvement: Apply and enhance processes related to thermal and fluid sciences, utilizing tools like GT-Power, Fluent, and Cummins Data Analysis Tool (CDAT). Project Leadership: Independently lead smaller business impact projects and manage Technical Direction: Influence the technical direction within project teams, continuing to develop and refine core competencies. * Qualifications and Competencies Experience: Previous experience as an Engineer in a relevant discipline, with a proven track record in technical problem-solving and quality decision-making. Competencies: Analytical Proficiency: Ability to interpret and predict system performance using quantitative methods and tools. Systems Thinking: Skill in defining system boundaries and understanding interactions within the system. Effective Communication: Strong communication skills to convey complex information to various stakeholders. Decision Quality: Capacity to make informed decisions promptly to keep projects on track. Resourcefulness: Efficiently secure and deploy resources to achieve project goals. * Qualifications for Internal Candidates Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant STEM field is required; a Master’s degree may be preferred for select roles. Skills: Essential Skills: Experience with aftertreatment systems and tuning. Proficiency in engine system testing and data analysis. Strong understanding of combustion and emissions science principles. Capability in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics. Preferred Skills: Program management skills. Familiarity with MS Office tools.
