ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE
Application are invited for one Guest faculty (Assistant Professor) in the Centre for Systems Biology & Bioinformatics, Panjab University, Chandigarh to be filled in through Walk-in-interview,

purely on temporary basis, for the academic session 2023-24.

Essential Qualification for the post of Assistant Professor
() Good academic record as define by the concerned University with at least 55% of the

marks (50% in case of SC/ST/Physically &V isually handicapped) or an equivalent grade
in ap oint wherever grading system is followed at Master's degree level ie. Masters in Statistics from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign

viedressit yf.u lfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National

Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR.
(ii) The candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D.

Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum
eligibility condition of NET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or

equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/lnstitutions.
Desirable

Ph.D. degree in Statistics with at least two-years of research experience or teaching
experience of post-graduate classes in the field of respective subject with relevant

publication/s in peer reviewed journals.

The above assignment is on lecture basis with a token of honorarium of Rs. 1500/- per

lecture with an upper limit of Rs. 50,000/- per month. The candidate shall have to undertake
that he/she will not draw any fellowship/stipend or any financial assistance from any agency and will do the same till they are teaching in Centre for Systems Biology & Bioinformatics as

a Guest Faculty.
