Job Description

As an Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist at Honeywell UOP, you will have the opportunity to innovate and contribute towards solving the world's most important challenges in accelerating the energy transition to net-zero carbon. Join our global team of thinkers, innovators, dreamers, and doers at the Honeywell India Technology Center in Gurugram to develop sustainable technologies for renewable fuels and hydroprocessing portfolio. **Role Overview:** - Adhere to HS&E policies and guidelines to ensure alignment with HSE procedures during pilot plant experimental work. - Lead or support new product development (NPD) projects for hydroprocessing and renewable fuels technologies within committed timelines. - Conduct pilot plant experimentation work, analyze data for catalyst or process performance, and utilize model-based design of experiments or statistical approach. - Collaborate with various R&D departments to meet development program objectives. - Provide technical support to regional customers, manage customer demonstration programs, and offer recommendations for catalyst performance issues. - Contribute new ideas for technology enhancement, intellectual property, scaleup, and commercialization. - Opportunities for cross-training and contributing solutions to technical problems outside your expertise. **Key Responsibilities:** - Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Technology from a reputed institute. - Minimum 5 years of work experience for bachelor's and master's degrees, 3+ years of experience for Ph.D. - Strong interest and skills in R&D work, leading experimentation, and data analysis. - Self-starter with a drive for innovation. - Strong understanding of chemistry/chemical engineering fundamentals, chemical reaction model development, and process design. - Experience in developing and executing experimental plans, statistical tools for data analysis, and problem-solving. - Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills. - Knowledge in refining, petrochemicals, or renewable technologies. - Strong quantitative and analytical abilities. - Advanced degree (MS, Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
