Role Overview

The Admission Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end admissions process for Chettinad Sarvalokaa International School. The role focuses on lead management, parent engagement, campus tours, assessments, and conversion of enquiries into confirmed admissions, while strictly following the admissions protocols of an international school offering IB / IGCSE / Cambridge curricula.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Admissions Process & Protocol

  • Follow and implement the school’s admissions policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Manage the complete admissions cycle from enquiry to enrolment.
  • Ensure compliance with curriculum-specific admission requirements and age criteria.

Lead Management & Parent Engagement

  • Handle and respond to admissions enquiries generated through social media, website, and other sources.
  • Make outbound calls to prospective parents based on leads received.
  • Effectively communicate the school’s philosophy, curriculum, and facilities to parents.
  • Convince prospective parents to visit the school campus for tours and interactions.

Campus Tours & Walk-ins

  • Manage walk-in enquiries and conduct structured campus tours.
  • Provide clear explanations of academic programmes, facilities, and student life.
  • Address parent queries professionally and build strong rapport.

Conversion & Follow-ups

  • Convert campus visits into prospective admissions through regular follow-ups.
  • Make timely and effective follow-up calls to parents at various stages of the admissions process.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of leads, visits, and conversion status.

Parent Meetings & Assessments

  • Organize and coordinate parent meetings with the Principal and relevant academic departments.
  • Conduct and coordinate entrance tests or assessments for students, as per grade and curriculum requirements.
  • Communicate assessment outcomes and next steps to parents.

Fees Coordination & Closure

  • Coordinate with parents until completion of the admission process, including payment of the first-term fees.
  • Liaise with the accounts team to ensure smooth fee collection and confirmation.
  • Ensure all admission documentation is completed and submitted accurately.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate admissions records, reports, and databases.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly admissions status reports for management.
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of student and parent information.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of international school admissions processes.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to convert enquiries into confirmed admissions.
  • Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
  • Customer-focused approach with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CRM / School ERP systems is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education or Management preferred).
  • Prior experience in admissions at an international school is highly desirable.
