Job Description: HR Executive – Hospitality Industry Position: HR Executive Industry: Hotels / Restaurants / Cafés Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in a relevant hospitality HR role Gender Preference: Male (due to operational requirements) Location: Puducherry Reporting To: General Manager / Vice President Role Overview The HR Executive will manage HR functions in line with the needs of the hospitality industry, ensuring smooth manpower management, compliance, employee relations, and training. The role requires someone proactive, people-oriented, and capable of handling the dynamic workforce of hotels, restaurants, or cafés. Key Responsibilities 1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning Handle end-to-end recruitment for operations and support roles (kitchen, service staff, housekeeping, front office, etc.). Conduct interviews, shortlist candidates, and coordinate final selection with management. Liaise with manpower consultants, hospitality institutes, and local sources to meet staffing requirements. Execute smooth onboarding and induction programs. 2. Employee Relations & Engagement Address staff concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters professionally. Maintain a positive and motivated work environment. Organize employee engagement activities, team-building events, and welfare programs. 3. Training & Development Identify training needs in coordination with department heads. Arrange regular skill enhancement and service excellence training sessions. Track training effectiveness and maintain training records. 4. HR Operations & Compliance Maintain employee records, attendance, and leave management systems. Process payroll inputs, manage overtime details, and coordinate with accounts. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (PF, ESI, gratuity, labor laws, etc.). Support HR audits and prepare monthly HR reports. 5. Performance Management Support appraisals, probation reviews, and confirmations. Monitor staff performance and suggest corrective or developmental measures. Assist in handling promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions. Qualifications & Skills Master’s degree in Human Resources / Business Administration / Hospitality Management. Minimum 2 years of HR experience in the hospitality industry (hotel / restaurant / café). Strong knowledge of HR policies, statutory compliance, and labor laws. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle high employee turnover and multi-shift workforce.
