Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & MIS:

    • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Develop and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS) reports to provide actionable insights to management.
    • Prepare schedules and documentation required for internal and external audits.
  • Statutory & Legal Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with labour-related regulations, including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Professional Tax (PT), and Labour Welfare Fund (LWF).
    • Manage GST compliance, including return filings, input tax credit reconciliation, and coordination with tax authorities.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance for vendors, including capital vendors, by verifying contracts, agreements, and statutory requirements.
    • Stay updated on changes in financial, tax, and labour laws to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Audit Support:

    • Coordinate with auditors to provide necessary schedules, documents, and clarifications for statutory and tax audits.
    • Ensure all financial records are accurate and audit-ready in compliance with applicable standards (e.g., Indian Accounting Standards, Companies Act).
  • Vendor & Capital Vendor Management:

    • Verify vendor agreements for compliance with legal and financial requirements.
    • Monitor payments to vendors and ensure adherence to tax deduction at source (TDS) and other statutory obligations.
    • Support capital expenditure processes by ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and financial protocols.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency in compliance and reporting activities.
    • Assist in implementing financial systems and tools to enhance accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

    Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
  • Experience:

    Fresher with strong academic performance; internship or article ship experience in finance, audit, or compliance is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, GST, TDS, and labour laws (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF).
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, or other accounting software.
    • Familiarity with MIS preparation and financial analysis.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
