Accounts Lead

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

Prepare, analyse, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial health of the organisation.

Provide timely financial insights to support strategic planning and business decisions.

2. Accounting & Compliance

Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF/ESI, ROC filings).

Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards (IND-AS/IFRS).

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

Develop annual budgets, monitor variances, and control costs.

Conduct financial forecasting, scenario planning, and risk analysis.

Support business units with financial data for operational decision-making.

4. Treasury & Fund Management

Manage banking operations, credit facilities, and fund flow planning.

Optimise utilisation of funds and maintain healthy liquidity.

Assist management in fundraising, investor relations, and financial due diligence.

5. Internal Controls & Audit

Implement strong internal financial controls and ensure adherence.

Coordinate statutory, tax, and internal audits.

Identify process gaps and recommend corrective measures.

6. Team Management

Lead and mentor the accounts & finance team.

Ensure timely closure of books and compliance tasks.

Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and transparency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA), MBA (Finance), or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial management (preferably in mid/large organisations).
• Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, Income Tax, and corporate finance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP, SAP, Zoho Books, etc.) and MS Excel .
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong financial acumen.
• Strategic mindset with operational execution capability.
• Problem-solving and decision-making orientation.
