Accounts Head

Job Summary:

The Accounts Head is responsible for leading the entire accounts and finance function of the organization. This role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, manages financial reporting, budgeting, and oversees the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the accounts team to ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, payroll, and taxation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and Income Tax.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Monitor cost control measures and provide financial insights for decision-making.
• Review and approve vendor payments, salaries, and other major expenses.
• Support management with MIS reports and financial analysis.
• Guide and train the accounts team to enhance their efficiency and knowledge.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting

• Minimum 8 years of experience required

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience in handling audits and finalization of accounts.
