Accounts Assistant

As an Accounts Assistant at Varthagam International, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team by maintaining accurate records and executing day-to-day accounting operations. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate within a team will be essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with day-to-day accounting entries, invoice recording, and ledger maintenance - Prepare reports and summaries as instructed by the senior accounts team - Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers - Support GST, TDS, and tax document preparation and filing - Maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions - Coordinate with internal departments for finance-related updates Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Commerce or related field - Basic understanding of accounting concepts and tax compliance - Familiarity with accounting tools (Tally preferred) and MS Excel - Team-oriented, disciplined, and proactive in completing tasks - Strong analytical and organizational skills - Willingness to learn and grow with the company Varthagam International offers a collaborative work environment with mentorship and training, exposure to apparel industry-specific accounting practices, and opportunities for career growth within the organization.
