Accounts Assistant

As an Accounts Assistant at Sheekharr Starch located in Navi Mumbai, you will be responsible for various financial tasks to support the smooth functioning of the accounts department. Your key responsibilities will include: - Assisting in preparing and maintaining financial records, vouchers, and ledgers. - Supporting in generating invoices, processing purchase bills, and preparing delivery challans. - Assisting in GST, TDS, and basic tax calculations under the supervision of the senior accounts team. - Handling bank reconciliations, petty cash, and daily accounting entries. - Assisting in internal audits and compliance documentation. - Helping in preparing monthly MIS reports and maintaining stock/asset records. - Coordinating with vendors, auditors, and internal departments for smooth operations. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: - Hands-on experience in Tally ERP is mandatory for accounting tasks. - Good knowledge of MS Excel, with a preference for VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Concatenate functions. - Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and tax filing processes. - Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong numerical ability. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow accounting principles. The ideal qualification for this position is: - Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce/Accounting/Finance, with a preference for B.Com/M.Com. With 13 years of accounting experience, preferably from a CA firm or corporate background, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to core accounting and taxation practices.
