Accounts Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will assist in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Financial Transactions:

• Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions in the general ledger.
• Prepare and verify financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Financial Management:

• Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
• Support in financial analysis and forecasting.
• Help in managing financial audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

-Payroll and Taxation:

• Assist in payroll processing and ensure accuracy.
• Assist in filing tax returns and complying with tax regulations.

-Record Keeping and Documentation:

• Maintain and update financial records and documentation.
• Organize and maintain filing systems for financial information and records.

-Administrative Support:

• Provide administrative support as needed, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and handling inquiries.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Preferred: Bachelor's of Commerce).
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in English, Gujarati, and Marathi languages is required.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in nonprofit accounting or with NGOs.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for NGOs.
