Accounts Assistant

Role Overview: As a Data Entry Specialist, your main responsibility will be accurately inputting financial transactions into accounting software from source documents such as receipts, invoices, and bank statements. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the general ledger by posting transactions to appropriate accounts and ensuring the financial records are up to date. Additionally, you will assist in bank reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and tax preparation. Key Responsibilities: - Accurately input financial transactions into accounting software from various source documents - Match bank statements to recorded transactions to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy - Post transactions to appropriate accounts in the general ledger to maintain comprehensive financial records - Generate basic financial statements like income statements and balance sheets - Assist in gathering information and preparing tax returns Qualification Required: - B.COM degree - Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent data entry skills - Numerical fluency and ability to perform calculations accurately - Organizational skills to maintain clear financial records - Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices *Please note that this job opportunity is open to female candidates only.* Company Details: The company emphasizes the distinction between bookkeeping and accounting.
