Job Description

Position Title: Accounts Executive

Department: Accounts / Finance

Reports To: Head of Operations / Director

Location: Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Data Management:

- Input and maintain financial transactions accurately in Tally ERP and Zoho Books,

ensuring all entries are coded correctly and comply with company policies and accounting

standards.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards such as IFRS/US GAAP.

2. Invoice and Transaction Management:

- Generate invoices and maintain detailed transaction records using both Zoho Books and

Tally ERP.

- Process accounts payable and receivable, monitor payments, and issue follow-ups on

overdue accounts.

3. Bank and Account Reconciliation:

- Reconcile bank statements with internal ledgers regularly using Tally ERP and Zoho

Books to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

4. GST and Tax Compliance:

- Manage GST compliance including filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 & 9C), tax

calculations, and audit preparation through both Zoho Books and Tally.

- Handle TDS, TCS, income tax, advance tax, and professional tax processes ensuring

adherence to legal requirements.

5. Financial Reporting and Audits:

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

leveraging Zoho Books and Tally data.

- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal

controls.

6. Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to support

strategic decisions.

7. Process Improvement and Team Support:

- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to optimize financial processes and

workflows.

- Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned.

8. Documentation and Record Keeping:

- Maintain accurate and organized documentation and filing systems for all financial

transactions.

Requirements

- Proven experience as an accountant or tally executive in finance and accounting (min 3

years preferred).

- Proficiency in Tally ERP and Zoho Books accounting software, with ability to manage

complex financial data across both platforms.

- Experience with additional accounting software such as Hostbooks is a plus.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, GST, and taxation laws (TDS, TCS, Income

Tax).

- Excellent numerical, analytical, and data entry skills with detail orientation.

- Strong organizational, time management, and communication abilities.

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and contribute effectively within a team.

Education and Certifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com).

- Certification in Tally ERP or equivalent accounting certifications advantageous.

- Additional certifications in taxation, investment banking, or AI in Microsoft Office are a

plus.
