Accounting Process Manager (US Accounting)

Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with

  US GAAP and other applicable regulations

  .
• Develop and implement

  accounting policies, procedures, and controls

  to enhance financial accuracy and integrity.
• Supervise the preparation of

  financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports

  .
• Ensure accurate and timely closing of

  monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

  .
• Manage

  general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes

  .
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Assist in tax planning, filing, and compliance with

  US federal, state, and local tax laws

  .

Team Leadership & Setup:

• Hire, train, and develop an

  accounting team

  , ensuring a high-performance work culture.
• Assign roles and responsibilities within the team, providing

  mentorship and guidance

  .
• Conduct performance evaluations and implement professional development plans for team members.
• Foster a collaborative work environment to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Process Establishment & Improvement:

• Design and implement

  accounting workflows, reporting structures, and operational procedures

  .
• Automate and optimize accounting processes using relevant

  ERP systems and accounting software

  .
• Ensure internal controls are in place to prevent errors, fraud, and inefficiencies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as the primary

  point of contact

  for clients regarding accounting and financial matters.
• Work closely with

  external auditors, tax consultants, and financial advisors

  .
• Address client queries, provide financial insights, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Monitor and ensure adherence to

  US accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies

  .
• Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to maintain financial integrity.
• Prepare and support external and internal audits.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Masters degree

  in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience collaborating with US Certified Public Accountants (CPAs)
• Minimum of

  15+ years of experience

  in US accounting, with at least

  7 years in a managerial role

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  US GAAP, federal and state tax regulations, and financial reporting standards

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  setting up accounting teams and establishing financial processes

  .
• Proficiency in

  accounting software especially QuickBooks and good to have knowledge of NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP systems

  .
• Excellent

  analytical, problem-solving, and leadership

  skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
• Ability to work in a

  fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  and handle multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience working in

  outsourced accounting services

  or financial consulting.
• Background in

  managing offshore teams

  and multi-entity accounting.
• Familiarity with

  compliance and internal audit procedures

  .
• Expertise in

  financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
