Role & responsibilities

Contractor & Vendor Bill Processing:
Approve contractors bills in accordance with contract terms, ensuring deductions for retention money and mobilization advances.
Review and approve monthly bills for material supplies and vehicle hiring.
Reporting & Monitoring:
Prepare and maintain daily outstanding reports for all distributors and retailers by region.
Generate monthly construction expense reports for management review.
Ensure timely submission and approval of bank payments and utility bills.
Reconciliations & Statements:
Obtain account statements from vendors and customers.
Perform regular reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate balances.
Cash & Transaction Management:
Handle daily cash transactions and maintain proper documentation.
Monitor and control petty cash usage and reporting.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
[25+] years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.
Strong understanding of contractor billing procedures, retention policies, and mobilization advances.
Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
Experience with bank reconciliations, vendor/customer account statements, and cash handling.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
