Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Accounting:

o Preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Ind AS/IFRS.

  • Maintain general ledger and ensure timely closing of books of accounts.

• Accounts Payable & Receivable

o Manage vendor payments and customer receivables with regular reconciliations and aging analysis.

  • Payroll & Salary Handling:

o End-to-end processing of monthly payroll including reconciliation of attendance, leaves, and salary structure.

  • Ensure accurate computation of salaries, deductions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS), and disbursements.
  • Handle full & final settlements, bonus calculations, gratuity, and other employee-related payments.
  • Coordinate with HR for salary inputs and resolve employee queries related to payroll.
  • Payroll Compliance & Statutory Payments:

  • Timely filing and payment of PF, ESI, PT, and TDS related to salaries.
  • Preparation and filing of Form 24Q, issuance of Form 16, and maintenance of payroll records as per statutory norms.
  • Taxation & Compliance:

  • Filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns within deadlines.
  • Assist with statutory, internal, and tax audits.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Support in preparation of budgets, forecasts, and monthly variance reports.
  • Process Improvement & Internal Controls:

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in payroll and accounting systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, salary components, and labor law compliances.
  • Proficient in accounting software (Tally/SAP/Oracle) and Excel.
  • Understanding of tax laws, accounting standards, and statutory compliances.
  • Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Prior experience in payroll accounting or working closely with HR teams.
  • Familiarity with employee benefit schemes, reimbursements, and incentive calculations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in a corporate finance/accounting function.
  • Exposure to audit (Statutory/Internal) and financial due diligence is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
