Accessioning officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accessioning Officer to join our laboratory team. The role involves receiving, verifying, and processing patient specimens and test requisitions. The Accessioning Officer plays a critical part in ensuring accurate data entry and proper handling of specimens before laboratory analysis begins.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming samples from collection centers, hospitals, or courier services.
• Verify patient details, test requisitions, and sample labeling for accuracy and completeness.
• Assign unique identification numbers (accession numbers) to each specimen.
• Accurately enter patient and sample data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Coordinate with phlebotomists, couriers, and client service teams to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
• Ensure timely and organized distribution of specimens to the appropriate lab departments.
• Maintain sample integrity by following standard handling, storage, and transport protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation related to sample accessioning.
• Follow all laboratory safety and confidentiality protocols.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month
