Academic Counselor

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Academic Counsellor to guide students in selecting the right academic path and programs. The role involves counseling, follow-ups, and converting inquiries into admissions. The ideal candidate should be passionate about education, student success, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities: Counsel students and parents regarding course options, career paths, and educational programs. Handle incoming inquiries via calls, emails, social media, or walk-ins. Understand student needs and recommend suitable courses or programs. Follow up with leads and maintain student records in CRM or admission systems. Assist students throughout the admission process – form filling, document collection, fee payment, etc. Coordinate with faculty and admin teams to ensure smooth onboarding. Participate in seminars, webinars, and promotional activities. Achieve admission targets and generate regular reports. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education, Psychology, Management preferred). Master's degree or counseling certification is a plus. 1+ year experience in academic counseling, student support, or education sales preferred. Skills & Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages. Good listening and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in using MS Office, CRM, and online communication tools. Positive attitude and ability to handle pressure and targets. Empathy, patience, and a student-first approach.
