Job Description

The Freelance Academic Coordinator supports the planning, implementation, and quality assurance of academic programs and learning activities. This role works closely with faculty, instructors, learners, and administrative teams to ensure smooth academic operations, adherence to academic standards, and timely delivery of educational outcomes on a project or contract basis.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Planning & Coordination

  • Coordinate academic schedules, courses, workshops, and assessments
  • Support curriculum implementation in line with institutional or project goals
  • Assist in onboarding instructors, facilitators, and guest lecturers

Faculty & Instructor Support

  • Serve as a liaison between faculty, instructors, and management
  • Monitor teaching delivery and compliance with academic guidelines
  • Collect and organize teaching plans, syllabi, and course materials

Student & Learner Support

  • Respond to academic inquiries from students or participants
  • Track attendance, participation, and academic progress
  • Support academic advising and escalation of academic concerns

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure academic activities meet institutional, accreditation, or client standards
  • Support assessment moderation, grading processes, and feedback collection
  • Assist with academic audits, reports, and evaluations

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate academic records and documentation
  • Prepare academic reports, summaries, and performance metrics
  • Coordinate deadlines for assessments, evaluations, and deliverables

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Proven experience in academic coordination, education management, or program administration
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in higher education, online learning, or edtech environments
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Experience working with remote or international teams

Tools & Technology

  • Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
  • Academic reporting and documentation tools
  • Virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.)

Compensation

  • Paid per project, hourly, or monthly retainer (based on scope and experience)

Contract Duration

  • Short-term or long-term, depending on project requirements

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Admission Counselling: 2 years (Required)
