Job Description

Job Summary:

Ab Initio Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes using
Ab Initio
.
Build and maintain
Batch
and
Continuous Flow (CF)
applications.
Leverage
PDL
to create flexible, reusable, and parameterized components.
Develop and maintain
Unix shell scripts
to support automation and scheduling.
Write and optimize
SQL queries
for data validation, transformation, and extraction.
Perform unit and integration testing of Ab Initio graphs and applications.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in ETL development.
Work closely with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to understand data requirements and deliver quality solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability and performance of data pipelines.
Maintain detailed technical documentation for developed processes and flows.

Mandatory Skills & Competencies:

Ab Initio
(GDE, EME, Conduct>It, Express>It)
PDL (Plan Data Language)
expertise
Strong experience with

Continuous Flow (CF)

Unix/Linux
shell scripting
Proficient in
SQL
(Oracle, Teradata, or any major RDBMS)
Strong debugging, performance tuning, and optimization skills
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles
