Ab Initio Admin

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Ab Initio components including Co>Operating System, EME, GDE, and Control Center
• Manage metadata repositories and operational consoles
• Monitor ETL job performance and overall system health
• Troubleshoot job failures and optimize ETL workflows for better performance
• Manage user accounts, roles, and access controls
• Implement and maintain security protocols and compliance standards
• Schedule ETL jobs using Control Center, Autosys, or similar scheduling tools
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or other scripting languages
• Provide L2/L3 support for ETL jobs and Ab Initio platform-related issues
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to resolve technical and data issues
• Maintain technical documentation for system configurations, processes, and standards
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies
• Support migration and management of Ab Initio environments on cloud platforms
• Use DevOps tools to support CI/CD automation and deployment processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio tools such as GDE, EME, and Metadata Hub
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
• Experience working with databases such as Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL, and SQL
• Knowledge of job scheduling tools like Control Center and Autosys

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of AWS services including EKS, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to DevOps tools such as Jenkins for CI/CD automation
