Job Description

Role & responsibilities We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant to join our rapidly expanding Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) team. The team provides specialist accounting and financial reporting advice to clients across a range of complex accounting issues. You will work across a diverse range of projects, varying in magnitude, focusing on the application of technical accounting, in particular: accounting policy conversions and GAAP analysis, preparation of financial statements or carve out accounts, merger and acquisition activity, implementation support for new standards, group restructurings, and training. Advising clients on the application of new and existing accounting standards, such as IFRS and UK GAAP (FRS101/FRS 102/UK Companies Act 2006) Assessing the impact of recently adopted accounting standards (primarily IFRS 9, IFRS 10, IFRS 11, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16). Supporting transaction teams with IFRS 3 analysis and model reviews with relevant accounting frameworks. Providing accounting support to identify the implications of business reorganisation plans. Working with other teams within KPMG, such as deal advisory/tax, to provide technical accounting support on cross-functional engagements (e.g., due diligence). Developing and delivering workshops and accounting training to clients and internal KPMG teams. Helping to grow our business through building and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and KPMG individuals. Contributing to practice and risk management, including thought leadership and business development activities. Providing sustainability reporting and accounting support including reports and presentations on client issues relating to key reporting frameworks, principles and standards including but not limited to UKCFD, ISSB, CSRD, SECR and EU Taxonomy. We would consider candidates with no experience on this as training will be provided. Preferred candidate profile CA / ACCA / CPA with 2-4 years of work experience
