Key Responsibilities:Prepare the OT before surgeries, ensuring all required surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and sterileAssist the surgeon during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies as neededMaintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques throughout the procedureCount sponges, instruments, and needles pre- and post-procedure with the circulating nurse to ensure patient safetyEnsure proper functioning of surgical equipment and report malfunctions immediatelyAssist in positioning and draping the patient in accordance with the type of surgeryDispose of waste materials safely and clean the OT after proceduresAssist in maintaining cand requisition supplies as neededCollaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and other OT staff to ensure smooth surgical proceduresComply with hospital protocols, infection control policies, and patient safety standards
