Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design and modeling
: Create accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
Collaboration
: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, production, and R&D, to refine designs and ensure they meet project specifications.
Documentation
: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), and follow engineering processes and change order procedures.
Analysis and compliance
: Conduct simulations to verify design performance, ensure designs meet industry standards and safety regulations, and assist in prototyping.
Modification
: Modify existing product designs based on feedback or cost improvement ideas.

Required skills and qualifications

Technical proficiency:
Strong command of SolidWorks software is essential.
Experience:
Previous experience in creating 3D models and technical drawings is required.
Attention to detail:
High accuracy is needed for creating precise designs and documentation.
Communication skills:
The ability to communicate effectively with various teams, including sales and customers, is important.
Problem-solving:
The ability to develop accurate and efficient design solutions.
Familiarity with processes:
Knowledge of engineering processes, including revisions and change orders, is often necessary.
