3D Printing Engineer

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining 3D printers and related equipment. Additionally, your role will involve designing parts for 3D printing using CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, and Fusion 360. You will need to choose suitable materials for printing, including polymers, metals, ceramics, and composites. Performing finishing processes like support removal, surface treatment, and heat treatment will also be part of your responsibilities. It will be essential to develop and enhance 3D printing processes to ensure quality and consistency. Collaborating closely with product teams to prototype and enhance designs efficiently is another key aspect of your role. Troubleshooting printing issues, analyzing failures, documenting processes, and sharing best practices will be crucial. Keeping abreast of new trends and technologies in additive manufacturing is also expected. Your qualifications should include experience in metal 3D printing, such as DMLS and SLM. Knowledge of design optimization or simulation tools, experience with robotic or automated 3D printing systems, and familiarity with industry standards like ISO/ASTM are desirable. Certifications in additive manufacturing would be a plus. To be eligible for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. For candidates with a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 7 years" experience in 3D printing or additive manufacturing is required.
