Job Title : 3ds Max Lighting Designer Location : Andheri West Alternate Saturdays Off Job Summary : We are seeking a talented 3D Lighting Designer with expertise in Autodesk 3ds Max to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for composition, mood, and atmosphere, and be proficient in creating photo realistic or stylized lighting setups for interior, exterior scenes. Key Responsibilities : Design, implement, and refine lighting setups using 3ds Max, V-Ray, or Arnold. Collaborate with 3D modelers, texture artists, and high-quality visuals. Create mood boards and lighting references based on project goals and artistic direction. Optimize lighting scenes for performance and render efficiency. Adjust lighting based on client feedback and artistic critique. Integrate lighting with scene materials, HDRIs, and camera settings to enhance realism. Work with post-production teams for compositing-ready renders (render passes, AOVs, etc.). Required Skills & Qualifications : Proficiency in 3ds Max and at least one major render engine (V-Ray, Corona, Arnold). Solid understanding of lighting theory, color temperature, and light behavior. Familiarity with photorealistic rendering, global illumination, and PBR workflows. Experience with HDRI lighting, light baking, and night/day cycle setups. Ability to manage render settings for quality vs. performance balance. Knowledge of Photoshop or After Effects for compositing and touch-ups is a plus. Strong portfolio showcasing previous lighting projects (architecture). Preferred Qualifications: Degree or certification in 3D Design, Animation, Visual Effects, or related field. Understanding of camera work, cinematography, and visual storytelling.
