About the Role: Xivon Interactive is looking for a Concept Artist who specializes in realistic and cinematic environment design. You’ll help define the visual direction of immersive, grounded worlds—balancing storytelling with functional design. Your work will serve as a key reference for our 3D team and contribute to the look and feel of both games and cinematic content. Responsibilities: Create visually rich and realistic concept art, focused on environments and prop-heavy sets Build moodboards and visual reference sheets to establish tone and direction Use AI tools (Midjourney/DALL·E/etc) in combination with manual paintovers and traditional methods Deliver cinematic frames that focus on lighting, mood, spatial logic, and detail Provide real-world-inspired references and prop lists that feel believable Collaborate with 3D artists and directors to ensure visual alignment Requirements: Strong portfolio demonstrating realistic style in environment concept art (urban, industrial, natural, etc.). Excellent sense of composition, lighting, and grounded storytelling. Ability to use real-world references effectively (Google, Pinterest, photo packs, etc.). Skilled in Photoshop (or similar tools); AI tools for ideation are a bonus. Strong attention to detail—especially in materials, lighting, and scale. Good communication and willingness to iterate based on feedback. Bonus Skills: Familiarity with film lighting, lensing, and real-time production pipelines. Basic understanding of 3D blockouts (Blender or SketchUp). Interest in architecture, industrial design, or cinematic pre-vis. Experience in working with stylized realism or hybrid 2D-3D pipelines. Visual Style We’re Looking For: Think: “The Last of Us,” “Sicario,” “True Detective,” “District 9,” or realistic cinematics. Less stylized fantasy—more grounded, functional, tactile worldbuilding.
