An X-Ray Technician is a healthcare professional who is responsible for taking x-ray images of the human body. They evaluate and interpret diagnostic images to detect abnormalities or disease. It is the responsibility of X-Ray Technicians to ensure that the imaging equipment is functioning properly and that the images taken are clear. Job Brief An X-Ray Technician must be able to use specialized equipment and tools to perform X-ray examinations. They must operate the equipment in a safe and precise manner. They must ensure patient safety and privacy. They must maintain accurate records of patient exams. They must be able to diagnose and interpret imaging results. Responsibilities Positioning the patient properly for the examination. Adjusting the machine and selecting the proper settings. Ensuring that the equipment is being operated safely and accurately. Educating the patient regarding the imaging procedure. Ensuring that patient information is protected and confidential. Ensuring that the films are developed properly and stored correctly. Ensuring that equipment is functioning properly. Preparing and maintaining patient records.
