Workflow Automation & Integrations Engineer

You are looking for a Workflow Automation & Integrations Engineer position with Talia Healthcare, a company modernizing healthcare operations. As the technical backbone of the platform, you will work directly with the founder to automate front- and back-office workflows, ensuring care teams can spend more time with patients. Your main responsibilities will include building healthcare integrations, setting up automation infrastructure, owning the AWS stack, and ensuring secure, production-grade, HIPAA-compliant systems. **Role Overview:** - Work directly with the founder to automate workflows and ensure reliable operations at scale. - Build healthcare integrations and automate clinic operations efficiently. - Monitor, maintain, and harden systems for optimal performance. - Contribute to compliance readiness for SOC 2 and HIPAA audits. - Collaborate with clinics to understand requirements and implement end-to-end solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Own automation infrastructure:** - Deploy and manage workflow orchestration tools like n8n in a secure, self-hosted AWS environment. - Implement HIPAA-compliant systems with access controls, audit logs, and encryption. - Develop healthcare integrations with EHRs and other healthcare APIs. - **Create scalable automated workflows:** - Convert complex clinic operations into automated processes with monitoring and version control. - Set up CloudWatch dashboards, alerts, and error-handling systems. - **Contribute to compliance readiness:** - Prepare for SOC 2 and HIPAA audits by documenting systems and building required controls. - **Work directly with the founder and clinics:** - Understand operational workflows, translate requirements, and implement solutions end-to-end. **Qualifications Required:** - **Must-haves:** - 2+ years of software engineering experience. - Strong experience with AWS services. - Familiarity with workflow automation tools and API integrations. - HIPAA Certification. - Strong communication skills and a self-starter mindset. - **Nice-to-haves:** - Prior experience in healthcare or with EHR integrations. - Understanding of audit logging, PHI handling, and secure data pipelines. - Experience with workflow scheduling and versioning.
