As an Engineer - O&M at our location in Hospete, Karnataka, you will play a crucial role in managing the shift operation of the Air Separation Unit. Your primary objectives will include ensuring the safe operation of the plant, optimizing efficiency to meet customer demand, minimizing downtime, and supporting the Plant Manager in various shift activities. Your key responsibilities will involve meeting the fluctuating demand of the Onsite-Customer or merchant market by effectively managing the plant operations. This includes operating the plant at the best power efficiency point, adhering to all Safe and Standard Operating Procedures, and minimizing downtime related to product purities and shutdowns. You will be responsible for closely monitoring equipment conditions, conducting field inspections, and reporting any abnormalities to the shift-in charge to prevent breakdowns. Additionally, you will be involved in issuing work permits for maintenance activities, assisting in upgrading plant procedures, monitoring liquid tank levels and truck filling operations, as well as maintaining the Control Room Log book diligently. Your proficiency in using Distributed Control Systems (DCS) will be essential for carrying out these tasks efficiently.
