WordPress Developer (PHP / JavaScript / Front-End)

About the Role:

WordPress Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain
custom themes and plugins
following WordPress coding standards.
Extend and customize
WooCommerce
(checkout, payments, shipping, product logic).
Convert
Figma/Sketch designs
into responsive, accessible front-end interfaces.
Integrate with
REST/GraphQL APIs
and third-party services.
Optimize site performance (Core Web Vitals), caching, and SEO schema (JSON-LD).
Work with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

35+ years in WordPress (PHP 7/8) with hands-on
theme and plugin development
.
Strong
JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3/SASS
, and responsive UI skills.
Solid understanding of
hooks, filters, custom post types
, and caching.
Experience with
WooCommerce customization
and API integrations.
Familiar with
performance tuning
, asset bundling (Vite/Webpack), and lazy loading.
Proficient with
Git
, Jira, and CI (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI).

Nice to Have:

Headless WordPress (WPGraphQL, Next.js/React).
Experience with
Checkout.com, Stripe, Cybersource, Tabby, Tamara
.
Knowledge of
Cloudflare, Nginx/Apache, Docker
, and WP-CLI.
Familiarity with
Algolia
, SEO schema, and
Arabic/RTL
development.
