WordPress Backend Developer

As a WordPress Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing custom WordPress plugins from scratch, building complex backend logic, and integrating third-party APIs. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Developing custom WordPress plugins from scratch - Building complex backend logic, data handling, and custom functionalities - Working with WordPress hooks, filters, actions, REST API, and custom database tables - Creating and optimizing MySQL queries, schema, relationships, and performance - Integrating third-party APIs and building custom REST endpoints - Debugging deep backend issues, error logs, server issues, and code conflicts - Ensuring backend security, sanitization, validation, and code quality - Working with Git/GitHub, staging environments, and hosting servers Qualifications required for this position include: - 34 years of hands-on WordPress backend development experience - Strong coding skills in PHP (OOP) and MySQL - Expert understanding of custom post types, taxonomies, and meta fields - Experience with API development and integrations - Knowledge of server-side debugging and basic frontend understanding (HTML, CSS, JS) Bonus skills that would be beneficial for this role include experience with WooCommerce backend customizations, performance optimization, and tools like Composer, WP-CLI. The ideal candidate for this position is a strong backend problem solver and logical thinker who can independently build backend systems without relying on plugins. You should be able to write clean, reusable, and secure PHP code and be comfortable handling complex development tasks.
