Production Planning and Strategy Implementation:Develop and implement comprehensive production plans and schedules that align with customer demand, ensuring that targets are met without compromising on quality or timelines. Strategically optimize resource allocation (e.g., manpower, machinery, raw materials) to achieve maximum efficiency and minimize production costs. Anticipate and plan for potential bottlenecks or capacity constraints, proactively addressing issues before they disrupt production timelines. Cross-Department Coordination:Work closely with the sales, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless coordination across departments, making sure that production plans are in sync with inventory requirements, customer orders, and delivery deadlines. Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure that raw materials and components are available when needed and that finished goods are shipped on time. Team Leadership and Development:Lead and manage a high-performance production team, driving engagement, motivation, and professional development. Identify skill gaps and provide training programs to enhance the capabilities of team members, ensuring that all employees are up to date with industry standards and best practices. Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, recognizing achievements, and creating development plans for continuous improvement. Quality Assurance and Compliance:Ensure that all production processes strictly adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols to maintain high product quality and operational safety. Oversee all stages of production to maintain strict quality control, preventing defects and ensuring consistency in the final product. Investigate and resolve any quality issues or non-conformance swiftly, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Continuous Process Improvement:Monitor production workflows, identifying areas where efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness can be improved. Lead initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma projects to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement among the production team, empowering employees to suggest and implement ideas for better practices. Inventory Management:Oversee inventory control to ensure a continuous supply of raw materials, parts, and components, preventing production delays caused by stock shortages. Work closely with the procurement team to forecast material needs based on production schedules and customer orders. Maintain balanced inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts while adhering to cost control measures. Health, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance:Enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure the production floor is compliant with relevant health and safety regulations. Regularly audit safety practices and conduct safety drills to ensure a secure environment for all employees.Reporting and Performance Metrics:Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, providing insights on key production metrics such as output, efficiency, downtime, and waste. Analyze performance data to identify trends, uncover inefficiencies, and propose actionable solutions. Provide regular updates on team performance, challenges faced, and progress toward achieving production goals. Record-Keeping and Documentation:Ensure accurate documentation of all production processes, including work instructions, quality control checks, and safety logs. Maintain detailed records of production runs, equipment maintenance schedules, and personnel training to support traceability, audits, and regulatory compliance. Ensure all production-related paperwork is up-to-date, properly archived, and accessible when required. Product Transition Support:Work closely with the R&D and product development teams to ensure a smooth transition from prototype to full-scale production for new filter products. Provide feedback on manufacturability and assist in scaling production processes for newly developed products, ensuring that they meet both performance standards and production efficiencies. Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues that arise during the ramp-up phase of new products, ensuring that production timelines are met without compromising quality.Preferred candidate profile Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in production management, preferably in the filters manufacturing or filtration industry. Proven track record of leading teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment, specifically in filter production, including air, oil.Experience with quality control systems (e.g., ISO 9001/IATF ) and lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) Knowledge of filtration technologies, including the materials, equipment, and processes used to manufacture high-quality filters.Ability to oversee and manage production across multiple units located within a 2-3 km radius.
